We’re just two hours and thirty minutes from Lisbon, but it feels like stepping into a fairy tale. The A1 and A6 motorways are behind us, and we roll down the windows to breathe in the pure air around us. It’s an easy, smooth drive that leads you to Sociedade Rural, helping shift your perspective.
Badajoz (Spain)
Only 10 kilometres from the Spanish border, you can cover the distance between Badajoz and Marvão in 1 hour and 30 minutes, a route linking two countries, cultures, and histories.
Porto (Portugal)
Just over four hours from Porto, Sociedade Rural invites you to trade the bustle of the city for the serenity of the Alto Alentejo. The journey, mainly along the A1 and A23 motorways, is easy and peaceful, as the landscapes gradually shift from the lush greens of the north to the golden tones of the Alentejo. As you approach Marvão, you’ll feel yourself entering a different pace of life, one that is calmer and more authentic, where nature and silence become your gracious hosts.
