Before we finish this evening, I would like to say a few words of thanks to Claudia, Miguel and also to Lisa.
In this room I picked up a magazine with Jane Goodall on the cover and the words “Change starts within”. Reading the interview, I was struck by how much she spoke about listening, about our connection with nature, and about our passions.
Lisa, you gave us alot these days. You showed us a world of magic, mystery, a rarified space which is difficult to describe in words. You led our attention inward, to quieten down and learn a little more about ourselves. For me, made me think how much space we should give those things in our lives
And looking around this place I see what can happen when people give their passions that space.
Miguel and Claudia... Needless to say I have a great admiration for both of you. Spending time here gives us a sense of who you are. Your taste, an eye for beauty, your creativity and your care are present everywhere – the objects, the books, the food and the way you welcome everyone.
But behind everything we see is something we cannot photograph. Behind it is your work and the life you have chosen to build together. That is what makes being here so special.
[On]e of the magazines in the room I read an interview with Vigo Mortensen. He spoke about planting trees and caring for landscapes as something we give to future generations. It made me think of you both.
You have imagined what this place could become, and then given your time, your energy and your care to making it happen.
So tonight, we thank you for more than a beautiful stay. We thank you for the imagination to begin, the commitment to continue, and the generosity to let us share in it
And Lisa thank you for helping us pause and pay attention to ourselves. I will leave with
a little more clarity about what matters to me, lighter, and a reminder, through Miguel and Claudia, of what it can mean to follow it.

We LOVED the dogs, too. What a wonderful, calm, beautiful and nature oriented 3 days we had here. Arriving with the rain and mist, and the warm fireplaces in the bedroom!!! And then spring and sunshine coming, yoga outside and walks along the river and beautiful granites. What a paradise :)
